Re: Brian Mitchell 8th most versatile player in NFL history
True Story about the time I met Brian Mitchell:
I was in Vegas for a bachelor party with some friends. We were at the courtesy desk at the MGM Grand signing up for those cards that are supposed to track your gambling so that you get comps. Anyways, we look to our right and there is B-Mitch at the counter in the line to our right (there was a fight at the MGM Grand that weekend, so he was there for the weekend). Naturally, my friends were all Eagles fans (being from Philly and all), so they immediately went up to him and shook his hand and gave him props and such. He was nice and polite, thanked everyone and said nice to meet you. I purposely waited to go last. When I got up to him, I shook his hand and said "Brian, it's an honor to meet you. I live in Philly, but I've been a die-hard Redskins fan my entire life." He immediately got the biggest smile on his face. Now this was literally the day after he had just been released by the Giants. So he then told me that he was going to give "Joe" a call to see if the Skins have a place for him on the Roster (this was also soon afer Gibbs announced his return). I told him that I would love to have him back in a Skins uniform one more time. We both laughed a bit and told each other it was nice meeting you and wished each other luck and went on our way. The whole encounter goes down as one of my biggest thrills as B-Mitch was always one of my favorite Skins. Overall, he seemed like a great guy to me.
