98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Question

thanks for all the help guys we found a local guy to check it out and the Cat conv was indeed screwed and the compressor is shot on the ac. Got the Converter replaced gonna go without the air for awhile and see how it goes. But thanks very much for the help it's nice to go in with a little idea whats going on

Honestly, even with limited skills, you can change it out yourself. I did mine on a chevy s-10 about 6 years ago and it was EASY...and a lot cheaper.
If you mess it up, go to autozone and they will help you. They are pretty good about that stuff.

He is correct as it is not to hard to replace. You can even go to you local library and they have the chiltons manual for your jeep which will give you step by step directions on how to replace it.
