For everyone that thinks Campbell is our key, do you think we'll be OK if he produces right around 3000 yards, 22 or 23 TDS and 13 or 14 int's?
I've heard plenty of people say that is what they are expecting...so I ask, is this what you're expecting?

Those numbers would show the type of progression that I would like him to make. And his starts last year indicated that you're probably right on.

What I want to know is how will those numbers translate into wins. And furthermore, will those numbers overcome another anemic defensive year?

I don't think those numbers I mentioned are unrealistic at all, those are the exact averages (over a full season) he had in his 7 games last year.

I'd like to see around 3500 yards and a few rushing td's. If he can be between 58-60% we'll look great.

Well, in his 7 games last year he threw for 1300 yards. Over a 16 game season, that projects to 2970 yards.

In his 7 games, he threw for 10 TDs. Over a 16 game season, that projects to 23 TDs.

In his 7 games, he threw for 6 INTs. Over 16 games, that projects to 14 INTs.

So even without any improvement, yes, Campbell should match the numbers you've listed. I expect him to improve though. I also expect defenses to adjust to him. I'll say:

3200 yards, 22 TD, 12 INT. With 400 rushing yards and 3 Rush TD. Those numbers are solid, but if he puts up those numbers with a 54% completion percentage, I don't think we'll do better than 8-8. If he puts up those numbers with a 58% or so, I think we'll go 10-6. He'll amass the stats because he can give you big plays that Brunell can't; the question is will he steadily move us with consistent completions, or will he be inconsistent with accuracy?

400 yards rushing seems high to me. But that breaks down to 25 a game. I suppose he could do that. Are you thinking he's scrambling getting those, or that he will have plays designed for him to run if he cant see someone quickly?

Last year he ran for 107 in 7 games, so that projects to 250 or so over a 16-game season.

But in his work with Saunders, they've been working on making quick drop-backs and quick decisions to get the timing routes down pat. What comes along with those quick drop backs and quick decisions comes the decision not to throw the timing route if it's not there, and not to wait around for the receiver to come open. He'll make the decision to take off and run a little more often.

400 might be the ceiling. But somewhere between 300-350 seems reasonable.
