I just think that the Gardner drop was frustrating cause it would have put us to 20-14 and then Ramseys pass to Portis would have been 21-20. Its just frustrating to have first and goal from the 2 and get nothing. Samuels false start on the goal line was just as crutial as Gardners droped ball. Whatever, everyone played like crap.

cuz Gardner's consistent drops have us cost us games during his entire career. Portis and Coles havent cost us a game yet, not even this one, they just played their part with the entire offense losing this game.

the whole time i was like ok, 50/50 dropped the last one, he's up for a catch now...

that goaline drop was easy, and clutch. and he's a 'possession' receiver? hardly. we have more WRs

I'm not blaming Gardner for the loss at all. It's the play of the offense TODAY that killed us. However, Gardner has been doing this for a few YEARS now. Enough. Maybe some time as the #3 or #4 will make him hungry for the ball again.

Additionally, anyone who has played/coached/watched/eaten nachos at a sporting event that was played this poorly would find the need to make a change (not place blame mind you). Portis had a bad game. So what? He has two 1500 yd seasons under his belt. Brunell/Ramsey...that's the bed we made. But Gardner? There is depth at that postion and they can't possibly ignore this inconsistancy week after week.

year after year. dude has small hands or something, its not something you can coach. he's not looking away, he watches the ball bounce off his hands...

reminds me of watching champ return punts... alright... he fumbled the last one...

and skins1573, ramsey had three really dumb turnovers, but they were all behind the NYG 10yard line... he was actually able to move the ball, so those picks would have a harder time being turned into points (and none were)... brunell and portis both had fumbles near our 20-30yd line bad bad place to get hit like that...

not that i'm defending anyone, but the blame isn't just on ramsey, or gardner, or anyone, EVERYONE helped us lose that on O... the QBs, portis, gardner, the O line, the playcalling, everyone.

you are correct about ramsey being able to move the ball, but as much points as those turnovers by the othere 2 guys cost us, you can use the same argument for the points we could/should of had if it wasn't for ramsey's turnovers. Like you said no one guy is to blame for the game, it's a team sport, and I just hope we get the offense going for monday night. :thumb:

[QUOTE=Brute44]I agree that Gardner has to focus more during the game [QUOTE]

The only thing Gardner should be focusing on is the BENCH. He has dropped KEY passes CONSISTENTLY throughout his career.

As others have said, Gardner isn't responsible for this loss (the entire offense is), but he has proven to be inconsistant his entire career....how else do you get the 50/50 nickname? It's time to give someone else (McCants) a shot to step up.

We need someone who can run crisp routes and catch the ball every time. Sounds like James Thrash to me.

I'd also like to see the Skins get Chris Cooley more involved

Me too. This kid has great hands and just won't go down when he has the ball.
