I don't think we will ever be able to seperate the role Smith had these last three seasons from the role Rivera had. However, the press around here seems to be of the opinion that Rivera pretty much went through Lovie regarding all defensive issues. So I would think that things aren't going to be much different with someone else going through Smith now.

too me, the bears are a very over rated team. i would really have to think long and hard if i had to choose between Grossman or brunell. yes, they have a monstrous defense, but that offense isn't much better then the raiders. and we know how good they are. i think the thing with Briggs, and them counting on Cedric Bensen to carry the load, will really show up in the loss column. and Lovie Smith has been there exactly how long? my top, as of right now, are Reid, Dungy, Shanahan, Bellicek, and Holmgren
