Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
What does being a Christian have to do with anything? I take strong offense to that.

This isn't the seperation of church and state here, if he wants to thank God or Satan or the Boogeyman in under his bed, I think he can.

If your being sarcastic/snide, then rightfully blame me for missing it. But if you truly believe religion has any serious effect on football decisions, then I stand by my statement. And I'm being completely rational here, if a bit blunt. |

I, for one, think we would have won tonight if Brunell had been an atheist. If he had put up that Hail Mary toward the end, there wouldn't have been an offensive penalty and we could have picked up a few safe yards and then kicked a field goal. I have to acknowledge though that Brunell wasn't as bad as usual tonight, except that he brought along his usual flair for craziness. Because he's a vet people like to call him wily and disciplined, etc. What he actually is, however, is a gunslinger who throws the ball out of bounds a lot but still can't be trusted with it. Speaking of Brunell, Ramsey threw a 94 yd pass against the Cowboys tonight for a couple of TD's and over 170 yards, one of the better sets of stats in the exhibition season thus far. I wish him the best. |
