Re: What were you thinking when Jason went down?
Washington is out two weeks and Espy is done for the year. Honestly this has been a worse injury pre-season for us thenlast year and we all know how last year panned out.
though on the glass is half full thinking, we have looked much better this year in pre-season then last year. D looks awesome and the O is finding it's way sprinkle in some Clinton and Samuels should be awesome. BTW- On a side note to you autography whores, go to the Greenbelt Marriott about 3.5 hours before kick off and you can get everyones autograph very easily, they are all just chilling in the lobby. I even saw Gibbs. Smooty has an awesome Rolls, all white with huge rims. IT was cool! |

The guy sprang forward even though he knew that he'd be hitting Campbell right around the knees. It might not have been the dirtiest shot ever but it was still pretty cheap.

Although, if Golston did hit Rothlesberger later, it wouldnt have been the worst thing in the world

Re: What were you thinking when Jason went down?
I understand that its illegal, I'm not saying there shouldnt have been a flag...but at the same time I'm just saying that the guy was just trying to make a play to help his team win the game. I dont think he did anything with the intent to injur anyone or that he's a "dirty" player.

Re: What were you thinking when Jason went down?
I thought the same thing at first that it was just one of those things that happen. Then as I watched from another view from a shot which was on 99's side of the play I changed my mind. He was trying to get up and then lundged forward and the only chance of hitting JC was going to be a low blow. He had know chance of even coming close to hitting him with a legal shot so yes it was a illegal hit. Now I will agree that he was just trying to make a play but these guy's are taught from day one that its an illegal shot so he knew better. If he would not have lundged forward that would be a different story but he did and we are lucky that JC did not have a worse injury.

Slow down. Last year our featureback suffered a significant injury and Springs (arguably our best defender) suffered an injury that he never recovered from. I feel bad for the guy but losing Espy has zero impact on our season. We are crapping wide receivers right now. Losing Washington for two weeks could be a blessing. There is no reason for him to be out there. You know what he brings every week and he is a warrior. Campbell is a tough guy too. This guy is a born leader. As far as that being a dirty hit, no way. It reminded me a lot of the Palmer hit but there was no malice on his part. He was falling down and the QB happened to be there. We aren't watching synchronized swimming, people. |
