If Phillip Daniels has the chance to sack Tony Romo a bit low because thats where his momentum is, we' wouldnt want him to fire a 30 yard pass downfeild to Witten. Not for one second do I think that he intended at all to do anything besides try to make the sack, not take out Jason.

Although, if Golston did hit Rothlesberger later, it wouldnt have been the worst thing in the world
Hitting the QB low is illegal. That Steelers player was on his knees and he purposefully hit JC's low.

I understand that its illegal, I'm not saying there shouldnt have been a flag...but at the same time I'm just saying that the guy was just trying to make a play to help his team win the game. I dont think he did anything with the intent to injur anyone or that he's a "dirty" player.

His intent is irrelevant. The guy hit him low and the league needs to send a message that this sort of thing won't be tolerated. I'd like to see players fined and suspended for that kind the shit.

If you're going to fine someone, I agree that intent is irrelavent. However if you're going to suspend someone, I disagree completley. I mean it was barley the guys fault at all, thats kind of just where he fell, I dont think you can suspend a guy for somthing like that.

If you look at Campbell's video after the game he seems like he's slightly pissed off about the hit. His reaction is subtle, but JC isn't a particularly emotional guy, so something subtle could mean a lot.

These rules are in place to protect the QB, and the hit was probably more of a negligent hit than a dirty one.

He should be fined, but not suspended. I don't want to sit here and be an armchair judge on the situation, because it's a very dynamic game and some things are unavoidable, but that his was too low to do nothing about.
