Youth Movement Underway?

I'm not sure if this "youth movement" is intentional or not, but it's clear that we're shedding some of our veteran players in favor of the younger guys.

I think it's just a case of the younger guys outplaying the older ones, and some of the vets that were brought in here in 2004 have peaked and are clearly on the downside of their careers.

NFL rosters tend to take new shape every 3 years or so, and I think that's what we're seeing here now.

Unlikely. Wilson is a situational pass rusher. Daniels can play the run and they're moving him inside on third downs so his role is secure.

This is what is exciting me more and more about this team. That the younger guys are going out there and out playing the older guys. which means to me that if the Redskins can have good quality guys playing for us who are very young, we can have a good team for awhile (assuming we can sign them for long term deals.) Either way, I just have a different feeling about this season. I think we are well on our way back to being the Redskins of the 80's!
