Maybe I'm a quick healer, and maybe it was my age...but soccer requires your ankles more than football. At this point, I just don't see why it's a season long injury unless ligaments / tendons were snapped too.

Anyhow, a lot I think with Jansen will depend on how quickly they make a decision on what to do. But hey, I'm also holding out hope that what I'm hearing is wrong and he's back sooner than later.

I have a feeling that Samuels injury might have been a blessing in disguise. It sure helped Heyer get some playing time, and get ready to play if need be. He did a very good job stepping up and not missing a beat. He might not have been perfect, but pretty damn good considering the circumstances.

The next season the only changes were that I played and we had a new coach. And we went 9-1 (this was JV) and lost in the county finals. And I doubt I was the one that made a big difference.

Re: Jansen's discolated ankle
Why not keep Heyer in and let the good times roll? I havent been terribly impressed with Wade. But on the other hand, I was all over Heyer after JC got hit in the preseason.

Re: Jansen's discolated ankle
I think we should keep Heyer in there. If he starts to really collapse then we have a good backup in Wade.
