That's always been an issue, and the Ego and crew have decided not to let people upload their own. I believe the rationale behind it is to keep the site uncluttered, as opposed to some other sites that have all kinds of pictures all over the place (avatar, sigs, etc.). yeah...makes sense, its easier to prevent people from putting up stupid crap that way
