Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!
Here's what CP had to say about Lloyd on the John Thompson Show
"When Brandon Lloyd want to be a dominant player, he can do that," Portis said. "It's just getting the coaches to buy into that and him proving it that he gonna do it on a consistent play after play, that he gonna do whatever they ask of him. And the sooner he can get on the field, the better we'll be."

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!
Look Lloyd is not as bad as some make him out to be. He caught, what about 60 catches w/ SF and they were horrible w/ no other wr threats. Now i don't know if he's got an attitude problem or not. Let's face it though he doesn't get alot of opportunities for whatever reason.
I don't know the reason, it could be a # of things. But hey, I'm not smarter than our coaches so i've got to trust them on this thing. I'd like to see him do well, but i just don't see it here. He's got talent, so i don't know. Keep in mind as i've stated before i don't believe that Jerry Rice would put up great #'s in our system where we are offensively right now. If Lloyd doesn't become a good producer, this could be one of the biggest FO blunders of our generation though. I'd hate to see it come to that. |

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!
I didn't read all of the posts before i posted above, but if he doesn't listen to the coaches than why don't we deactivate him and cut him in the offseason? Why have him around the team at all? He's getting paid alot of money to do the things they tell him to do not the way he wants to do them.

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!
Brandon Llyod has been a dissapointment since trading a 3rd and a fourth round draft pick in the 07 draft last year to get him. He also hasnt seen anywhere near the playing time a player you just traded two draft picks should get. Hes not bad either. playing in SF with no other WR to take pressure off him and an inexpirienced QB throwing him the ball he still averaged 60 catches and a couple of jaw dropping catches. Attitude problem or not two draft picks and that paycheck is more than enough reason to play him. With Moss out this is llyod chance to redeem himself. As of right now we cant cut him because of the cap penalty. If he cant perform hell be cut at the end of the season nuff said.
And is anyone else pissed at carlos Rogers! wtf! he plays very inconsistently and gives up big plays like its his job. he couldnt even tackle plax at the goal line. Not to mention hes always being flaged. he is not worth the 9th overall pick in the 05 draft ill tell you that much. especially with merriman and demarcus ware sitting there! He was drafted off his potential after having a great senoir year. Not proven at all. |

WTF? CR played pretty big football for 3 GAMES. He was being thrown at CONSTANTLY in Philly and @ home with Miami. I d'ont remember him getting flagged in the Giants game but if he did, so be it. He fucked up twice in the Giants game and they were both plays to Plaxi-Glass. Yeah, given, he missed a takle that screwed us hard, but so did ST. Now I'm saying that makes it okay, but considering the corner play of a LOT of other starting corners in this leauge, I'd say he's made DRASTIC leaps and bounds over last year. In 3 games this year he gave up 1 big play, the Plax TD. What about last year? Every fuckin game he would drop picks, get blown the F off the line and he looked clueless. He has no picks this year but, he's been playing pretty good in my opinion. Now passing on Ware and Merriman, I dont know. Both of those guys seem like, uh, real "character" guys. Ware just strikes me as being ruthless and Merriman is a juicer. You would really have to turn back time and re-pick to think about it because EVERYTHING would have been different. Anyway, point is, Carlos Rogers doesnt suck. He sucked on 1 play. You cant judge ALL his play by him sucking at that moment. You'll see. I said it last year that CR would have a much better year than last year and I believe so far, he hasnt been bad. That one play. Thats it. Take that away and what do you have? A shutdown corner that hasnt allowed shit on him in 3 games. Thats what.

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!
Carlos has played pretty well so far this season. I think we need to chalk the Plax TD up to Plax making a great play. Plaxico is a really good reciever thats big and fast. He makes alot of Db's look bad.

You are one of the first one's to nail that. Whenever the Skins miss a tackle or fumble the ball or get stopped at the goal line, we immediately chalk it up to bad play on our part. We never give credit to the other team making great plays as if they don't come to play. That was a damn good play by a very good, albeit sometimes inconsistent, wide receiver. Plax made a couple of good moves in space with a pass that was on the dime. That's all there is to it. He made a great play - game over. |

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!
Now, back to B Lloyd. B Lloyd, the number 1 hip hop artist on the Redskins, is a talented receiver. His problem is, he doesn't agree with the game plan or the receiver coach. I know he hasn't done anything so far with the Redskins, but don't turn your back on B-boy Lloyd so fast. When he decides to put his differences away, he is capable of being a top number 2 receiver in the league. In closing, B-boy Lloyd needs to remember, that you can't sell a million records with the whole DC metropolitan area hating your guts.
