Re: Cowboys OVERRATED @ 4-0?
Just to clarify: Cowboys first 4 opponents record is 3-13. I added the Bills (their opponent on MNF) to prove my point. So my tally included 5 opponents bringing the total to 4-16 (5 teams). Check your math again. And yes I still stand by the fact that @ 4-0 the Cowboys are overrated.

You STILL failed to answer the question! If the Dallas opponents have the same crappy win loss record as the Patriots opponents, then why is Dallas over rated and New England is not? According to your post that is precisely what you based your synopsis on. |

The difference is that basically the opinion of the Pats stayed the same, while the opinions people have of the Cowboys have changed based on a few games. The Pats only added firepower in the offseason, while the Cowboys basically maintained the same people on both sides of the ball. They have a few key losses, which I believe makes them more overrated than the Pats.

Dallas won't be in the Superbowl; New England will.

Like I said before, they will make the playoffs, but I don't think they are good enough to make it through the playoffs.

Re: Cowboys OVERRATED @ 4-0?
Not overrated. Yes, their schedule has been weak so far, but let's get real here - the Cowboys have won all the games you would expect them to against weaker teams. The NFC is weak as a whole, so Dallas will have many games against weaker teams. The NE game will be a good barometer. If Dallas were to somehow win that game, I can't imagine any team in the NFC being able to beat them in the post-season.

And we're 2-1 against teams with a combined record of? Exactly...let's worry about our own team right now. What'd ya say?

Re: Cowboys OVERRATED @ 4-0?
I'm torn on this thread, I thought the dallas D would be awesome & it looks like its improving.
On the other hand, I thought thier O would be better than avg. but not enough to win games the way it has. As the season goes on I expect the D to play tough, especially if Newman gets healthy. I also expect something to go wrong on O, whether its TO being his old self, or an injury on the o line. They don't have much depth there, just like us. They're definitely a top NFC team, but the whole conference is so uncertain that it's way too early to say who's the best. If you HAD to say so, I think Dallas would come up on top, but I expect something bad to happen to them & it may change their season. |

Re: Cowboys OVERRATED @ 4-0?
Well I said it before and I still stand by it, I think there a bit overrated, but just because of the opponents they have faced, and the same goes for New England, it would be unfair to say the Cowboys are overrated without including the Patriots as there opponents have been quite weak also. I dont know what to make of Dallas yet, until they play a quality opponent, i stay on the side of overrated, but if they beat New England, then they are definately for real.

Hello, like everyone is saying, the Cowboys have played basically the same teams we have other than philly and blew them out of the freaking water, so how can you say we look strong, tough schedule, and say dallas is overrated, with a weak schedule. I can't seem to understand some freaking fans. I am wondering if they are football knowledgable at all when people keep saying crap like this. |

Where did I say we look strong, because I know I didnt. I wouldnt consider a team that gave up a 14 point lead in the second half to a struggling team "strong". Dont put words in my mouth, I just think its hard to judge a team that has beat struggling teams, and I feel the same way about New England that I feel about Dallas, but never have I said were better than the Cowboys, because right now, thats just not true. |

Re: Cowboys OVERRATED @ 4-0?
I'm almost sick of saying this: when the Cowboys get their asses handed to them in the NE game all this Cowboy mania will seem pretty silly.
