Re: Chill Before You Post and Think Before You Start a New Thread

i love how the refs missed the facemask on one of our 4th down plays... or was it 3rd... but it was a blatant face mask right in front of the guy, that would have kept the drive alive, maybe got us that field goal we needed.... such bs sometimes... i dunno, i think this loss stings as much for the players as it does for the fans, i dont think this will be taken lightly at all, i do not expect this team to miss the playoffs at all... i do expect a ten win season... and i think we will get that from our team... much like the 05 season... we will be resiliant and we will play bigger down the line when we have too ..... hopefully it doesnt come to being forced to win 5 in a row but, i dont see us losing, we still have a very talented team, we can, and will find a way to win these games.

I was suprisingly not so upset over this game. I thought we should have won this one just like the Gaints game. The Skins need to gel on offense...nobody had hands today other than Cooley. This one is over and NOW winning our division should be a top goal.

I look at it this way. I like giving games away a lot better than getting blown out of the stadium like last year.

I guess people around here expected us to go 16-0, so I get the anger. Me, I thought 9-11 wins was more realistic, so I haven't really freaked the two times we've lost games we could have won. I think in both cases there have been plenty of positive things to take away.

GOOD advice!
Plenty of postive things to take away (hard to swallow at the moment, but noneless):

The D is # 1 in the NFC, and #3 in the league.
JC continues to mature into the francise QB we need
Cooley is emerging as a premier recieving threat
Big Mike is becoming a force
Randle El has become a legit #2 guy we desperately need
Moss WILL stop dropping pass's
The rest of the guys WILL stop dropping pass's
When this happens, we have demonstrated we have plenty of O horesepower to get the job done
All this having been said and much more unsaid, all will be ok.
It's also REAL cool for Moss and Portis to shoulder the blame, instead of attempting to dodge it!

After all, it's far better than getting the shit stomped out of you every week, because you just suck!
Ask Miami

Re: Chill Before You Post and Think Before You Start a New Thread

I don't think its time for panic mode like many of our fans seem to think and i think a lotta the problems we saw today are fixable issues or extraneous circumstances (dropped passes, injuries, turnovers lost, etc) BUT some things that I don't think can be fixed this season that are keeping us from going "over the edge" are...

- Hyde/Jekyll phenomena- in our losses (or rather in the second half of our losses) we have looked like a COMPLETELY different team than in our wins. And i even mean from an emotional standpoint. I don't know which skins team we will see after a good first half anymore and that has gotta stop if we are going to be a dominant team. That usually requires a year of cohesion and maturity as a team to develop.

- Game/Clock mismanagement- i don't think we can fix this during the season b/c of the time needed to fix the problem. We don't have the luxury of two or three days during the regular season practice schedule to work on two minute offenses and gametime signal calling...we might have had a couple during the bye week but that was squandered.

I still think we are a good football team and should have a good shot at making the playoffs. On the plus side the NFC is weak and so is our schedule. Also JC's development is coming along nice, it would've been nicer to see him engineer a game-winning come from behind victory but oh well. The bottom line is, we are what our record says we are and we have to just look forward.
