What about bringing in the next coach now as the General Manager to restore discipline, organization, time/training/strengthening management.

I'm really just saying that aside from the D under GW there seems to be a lack of leadership, and some guys out there are proven leaders. I don't know what's gone wrong w/ the offense under Gibbs/Saunders, but excuses for everything under the sun can't be the answer.

This is the first season since Gibbs has been back where consistency on offense has been a problem. Last year it was the defense that was historically inconsistent, not the offense. Back in 2004, the offense was consistently bad.

Yeah, it's not pretty when they go cold for a half, but what are you going to do? Not try anything that could result in a turnover? Kneel the ball in the 3rd quarter? Sometimes bizarre things happen. It was only a 3 point game. Whatever. Moving on...

I don't have any particular affection for Cowher but he would make us better quickly. Discipline, heart, execution, organization are all missing (badly) on the offensive side of the ball - you can't honestly argue otherwise. Starting over from scratch on offense, which is really kind of an exaggeration, would probably win us more games IMO.

I think there is real risk to the whole offense becoming disheartened by the utter lack of organization/management exhibited between Gibbs/Saunders. That's the scariest thing to happen, when the players don't trust the calls, decisions, etc. Didn't you feel some of that in GB and NY?

Dude, you can't be serious. We're 3-2... still very much in the hunt for a playoff spot, have been decimated by injuries, and you think we would win more games by starting from scratch?

In addition, we've played pretty darn well in all our games.

Mistakes have done us in twice now, but theres no reason to panic.

We should spank Arizona pretty good this week.

I completely disagree that Cowher would be some sort of savior, and that immediate changes are needed.

But, if it makes you feel better to imagine the sky has fallen so as not to have any hope moving forward and be pleasantly surprised when we win only to call for say Jeff Fisher next time we lose...then so be it.

No surprise in winning games, even the worst teams win some games, and we have one of the best defenses this year. I'm talking about the bigger picture.

I'm sitting him on the bench, starting Todd Collins and I'm going after another QB in the draft this offseason, and Williams and Saunders both say you know what we're not interested in coaching under Cowher, we're done here. And Cowher says you know what Moss and Portis I don't need you guys, I'll find some replacements in free agency. And Sean Taylor says, I'm tired of these changes. I want out. And so on...

Are we better off? Or are you saying we should just make a change anyway. Consequences be damned

Even in that worst case scenario, kind of ridiculous but OK, things would get turned around. Some guys have that vision of putting things together. Gibbs had it long time ago, but a lot has happened between then and now. Saunders sure had it offensively w/ KC but man that was like a powerhouse running game we just can't put together. We all know Gibbs era coming to close? What's your best case scenario?

Great stuff man. Actually, I always get more done on the Sunday's when we lose (it's probably my most poductive day of the week). Just realized the gym always seems a lot more welcoming when we lose too.
