I wouldn't have chosen Gore for the prize. If you don't practice what you preach you shouldn't even be in the running. I really hate the notion of "offsetting your carbon footprint" and he used that to explain why his monstrous house has $30,000 utility bill. It's like willfully making a mistake and professing your desire to correct the mistake at the same time. Don't make the mistake in the f'ing first place!
