I think there is real risk to the whole offense becoming disheartened by the utter lack of organization/management exhibited between Gibbs/Saunders. That's the scariest thing to happen, when the players don't trust the calls, decisions, etc. Didn't you feel some of that in GB and NY?

I completely disagree that Cowher would be some sort of savior, and that immediate changes are needed.

But, if it makes you feel better to imagine the sky has fallen so as not to have any hope moving forward and be pleasantly surprised when we win only to call for say Jeff Fisher next time we lose...then so be it.

No surprise in winning games, even the worst teams win some games, and we have one of the best defenses this year. I'm talking about the bigger picture.

Let's suppose Cowher comes in. Heck, for argument's sake let's say it's tomorrow that he comes in. And he says, you know what Jason's not my guy. I'm sitting him on the bench, starting Todd Collins and I'm going after another QB in the draft this offseason, and Williams and Saunders both say you know what we're not interested in coaching under Cowher, we're done here. And Cowher says you know what Moss and Portis I don't need you guys, I'll find some replacements in free agency. And Sean Taylor says, I'm tired of these changes. I want out. And so on...

Are we better off? Or are you saying we should just make a change anyway. Consequences be damned

Even in that worst case scenario, kind of ridiculous but OK, things would get turned around. Some guys have that vision of putting things together. Gibbs had it long time ago, but a lot has happened between then and now. Saunders sure had it offensively w/ KC but man that was like a powerhouse running game we just can't put together. We all know Gibbs era coming to close? What's your best case scenario?
