My observation is that he holds the ball a little too long. Sliding to avoid the rush is ok, but with our depleted O line, he needs to go thru his reads and progressions very quickly. The O coordinator needs to realize this and loosen the reins to allow JC to shorten the number of reads.

The ESPN Insider breakdown was good, but nothing that most here didn't already know.

I agree that this assessment isn't new news for Skins fans, but it's good that somebody outside DC recognizes Campbell's rapid improvement. The stats don't show it yet, but I really believe that Campbell can be an elite NFL QB (top 5) by next season.

overall I agree, he is still learning the pace of his reads & holds on a little too long. However, a good qb will learn when to wait & when not to.

On that 4th & 2 if he'd gone to his 2nd option (presuming it was) - McCardell, he was open for the first.

These are the finer points though, can't criticize him too much at this point cause he's making great progress & you have to feel good about his future w/the team.

Seems this o line is more adept at pass blocking than run blocking. We're going to have to continue to set up the run w/the pass rather than the usual run - pass.
