BTW, I don't know if anybody noticed, but Betts has peeled off good runs today while Portis continues to look absolutely dreadful.

I really haven't seen much of a difference.

Portis has 8-26 and Betts 2-10

All I know is both Betts runs were right up the middle of the NE defense and he pushed the pile. Portis has been working hard for 2 and 3 yard gains all day.

He's got to be averaging like 3ypc on the season. I don't care who you are, you cannot win football games with an average like that out of your feature back.

I have always defended the Portis-for-Bailey trade and have been a big fan of CP, but I seriously think this year is the year his wheels have fallen off the wagon.

it looks like both the colts and pats have proven that you dont need a 50m back

Nope, you just need a solid offensive line, a good QB, and a workhorse back.

Chew on that for a minute and ask yourself which of those things we're missing.

I think you're missing the point of the exercise, but considering the bloodshed we're being forced to witness, I can understand.

Yeah, when you have a Brady or Manning. Are you seriously saying we have guys like Manning, Brady, Harrison, or Moss?

Portis hasnt done a thing in the 4 or 5 years he's been in Washington. And we gave up the Best cornerback in the league in Champ Bailey for a injury prone crybabay

Hey mods, can we get a macro or smiley that says "Champ didn't want to be here anyway"?

I know, it's not like he rushed for 1,500 yards or anything like that and broke the franchise rushing record.

That was in Denver. What has he done since he's been in washington?

I hate to break it to you champ, but he rushed for 1,300 yards and 1,500 yards in his first two seasons in D.C. Oh yeah and he rushed for more yards in a season than guys like Riggins and Davis.

As for being injury-prone, he's gotten injured on plays when he was going all-out. If I had 22 injury-prone guys who went all out like Portis, I'd be a happy man.
