I think we may have to charter a bus if this happens. Very exciting to think of this. How cool would it be if they inducted each other?

Re: The sky is falling - Dr. Z will vote for Monk
How cool would it be if Monk finally does get elected and then tells them all to shove it right up their asses? Now, that would never happen because Art was/is a class act, but it certainly would be funny.
I hope they both make it in as well. It would be awesome to see two Skins going in at the same time!

Rest assured that if Darrell Green makes it in and Art doesn't, Art will be mentioned. Someone is going to have to shame the voters into doing the right thing.

Re: The sky is falling - Dr. Z will vote for Monk
I hear the numbers comparrisons from people all the time and it irritates the crap out of me. Football does not have the same rules from year to year and it's impossible to compare players. Would you rather have Bart Starr or Brad Johnson? Johnson has better numbers. When Monk caught 106 passes it was unheard of, now someone catches over a 100 every year. Are wr's so much better today? Absolutely not but today if you breathe on a wr it is penalty. Think how many more passes Monk could have gotten if he played under the Micheal Irvin push off rules? Compare players under the guidelines of when they played. Monk retired as the all-time receptions leader. He didn't make many pro bowls, but neither did Riggins. It's 3rd and 6. Who, of all-time, do you throw to?

If Art gets in with Darrell that would be heaven and I will come all the way from San Francisco. I expect Art to get a long standing ovation like Canton has never heard before and all Redskins fans present at Canton should unite and create signs and give Art an unforgettable welcome to the HOF that will always be remembered and talked about for years. I want the injustice of Art not being a first time ballot to be know by all football fans.

Carter used his status as a talking head to take a shot at Monk, who would NEVER do something like that, even if he WERE in a public position. Art is being denied due to the poor selections of a lot of flashy self-promoters rather than guys who shut their mouths, worked their asses off, and oh yeah, just happened to win a bunch of Super Bowls.

Chris Carter is such an incredible douchebag. Irvin and Carter couldn't wash Monk's jock when it comes to class.

Re: The sky is falling - Dr. Z will vote for Monk
I've been trying to remember, didn't Carter have some legal problems when he left the Eagles? I remember Buddy Ryan clashing with him and his poor attitude and work habits (which is why he could mentor Randy Moss on the better way to be a pro). But tried to find about the legal issues I might not remember correctly.

I don't know if he gets in or not. I'd say yes, because of Dr.Z's praise.
