I just don't really see any argument. Besides "he doesn't have that killer instinct" (what the hell does that mean exactly?) What is it exactly that Joe Gibbs did to lose the game today? I know everyone is pissed. I think it occured to me that he really has no idea whats going on when he decided to run a jumbo pack from the 8 yard line, and then continue to do so 6 times in a row.

There were two series at the goaline where we could have BURIED them. Case closed, game over.

He chose to kick meaningless fieldgoals.

Last time I checked, he won his first SuperBowl by going for it.

Joe Gibbs is like the 35th most highest person on that list regarding failure to score in that situation. Lots of blame to go around. If we couldn't score in 3 plays, what makes you think the 4th would be the charm?

Here's the big point though: the field goal STILL should have been enough to win. That's a five point lead with 4 mins to go and no timeouts. It doesn't take a very good defensive effort to hold the lead.

I think it's pretty nitpicky to argue outside run vs. inside run. Hindsight is 20-20.

What does Marinelli do that Gibbs doesn't?

It's not like you know anything about the Lions...so I don't expect you to answer, but it'd be kind of cool if you would defend your argument intelligently for once instead of BSing your way around these parts for a few hours.

Detroit being a playoff team is still to be seen.

For what reason are we "head and shoulders above them" last I checked that was determined by wins and losses. They have more wins than we do at this point.

We were head and shoulders above them on that day. Overall we are probably very close when both teams are 100% healthy.
