The logic behind those were very straightforward, the only problem was the only scouting done on them was asking Al Saunders what he thought of them. We brought Saunders in here, treated him like a godsend offensive mastermind, and got burned. Now we keep him in his corner and let him run practice and make game plans. He doesn't really have Gibbs' trust in personnel imput though. Trying to acquire a power back, a receiver with reputation of an up and comer, and an established safety with a rep for being a big hitter seemed good in theory at the time, but the team simply acted before doing their homework. Over the next few seasons, we will feel the effects of those moves.
