Re: Pourin' Some Kool-Aid for My Homeys, Redskins Will Beat Dallas

You are right the JC shouldn't be blamed for all the offensive shortcomings, but at least for some. Everyone tends to omit him from the blame game that goes around after a loss. He seems to be protected from any criticism. About his execution, I just can't forget the wide open Moss who beat the Jets DB and JC simply overthrew him. Lloyd was open last game and could have had a touchdown if the ball was thrown better. Like I said before, JC throws those deep passes with one thing in mind "no INTs". Anyways, this whole thing started because posters compared him to Alex Smith, Rex, and Leinart. I just asked why compare him to those guys, do you want him to end up like any of those mentioned? |

Of that group, I only see Leinart possibly ending up on par with Campbell, since he has 2 great WRs plus a 6'8" TE that the Arizona offense is just beginning to discover. Give Campbell another year in this offense, and I believe you'll see him make that quantum leap. He threw the ball with accuracy and confidence against Philly, so I'm hoping Saunders/Gibbs start to give him more freedom to make plays.

Peyton Manning threw 28 INTs in his first 16 games. Campbell has 19 TDs and only 13 INTs in his first 16. "When is he going to develop into a good QB" you ask? Umm, turn on the TV each Sunday. It's happening.

Now, sarcasm asaide, you are not the only one to mention Manning's 28 INTs. Yeah yeah, I know, I know. But how come you talk about JC's 19 TDs and not say a thing about Manning's 26 TDs. Or what about the 700 passing yards that Manning had over JC? To me those numbers say one thing, he was trying to win, and if that meant more INTs, then be it. Read my earlier posts, I did say that JC is playing not to lose the game. Whether that is his fault or the coaches call is a different issue. |

Well a bet's a bet. That's ok. I wouldn't change a thing (except the final score of course). I'm not happy we lost but I'm not going to stop being positive and believing in my team. I don't have to rationalize it, convert anyone, or apologize for it.
(man, I hope we win next week. I'm nervous)

Given the chance, JC can grow into a very good QB. |
