I really think that the NFL has been the hardest to adjust to than any other first rounder than Johnson, he used to just have to run a post route to the endzone and stand there, now he can't do that and he actually has to run routes and play against people who can actually match up to him physically.

I agree that he's had hardest time adjusting, but I don't totally buy that it takes time for WR to adjust to the NFL. Marcus Colston had an excellent season in his rookie year. And there are a few around the league this year that are holding their own.

I think in the NFL, no matter what the position, you get out of it what you put into it. Plain and simple.

Colston is a huge exception. Most WRs take at least 2-3 years to adjust to the NFL, and many drafted in the first round flame out altogether. Johnson has been injured most of this season. He will be a force in this league. If it doesn't happen for him in Detroit, I'd love to see him get a shot here. I'm sure Campbell would find a way to get him the ball, especially in the red zone.

I agree with you about Colston, but look at Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs) and James Jones (Green Bay) are WR that have been more productive than CJ this year, and there are a few others on his tail.

Also, we are talking about a guy that was taken number two in the entire draft - number two! So when people are talking about bust, I think they are saying that in context. Yes, he may be good but was he "number two" good?
