I'm totally behind him on all the 4th down calls. Yeah someone's gonna bitch cause we didn't make one and hingsight's 20-20, but our season and playoff hopes are on the line and we're trailing by quite a bit, go for the throat and try for that TD. At least if we go down in flames we'll know we tried to win it.

Oh please, there was no hindsight about it, I knew it was a bad call regardless. I hated the call before the play, I hated the playcall and I hate the fact that I forced them to press when they should have been looking to get into field goal range at the end of the game. It totally changed the football game and all they needed to do was kick. The first time I've wanted them to be conservative all year and take the points to make a 1 possession game, they stupidly try to run and it contributed to the loss of the game.

I too disagreed with the call. That said, something tells me that if Gibbs had NOT gone for it and we had lost the game, people would be ripping him a new one for not having any cajones. You just can't please some people.

I would have been one of those people, however i WAS pleased that we went for it even though we didnt get it. They went 3 and out after that and it really didnt change the outcome of the game, we had plenty more opportunities.

I've heard that Gibbs said they gave Campbell the option of running the sneak on that play, which would have been the right call. My question: why give Campbell the option?

That said, the OL performed miserably once again on a short yardage play. It seems to be something we just can't do. I wasn't surprised at all we couldn't gain a foot.

Just why we can't do it does escape me however. Maybe our OL just isn't strong enough to move anybody. We get no penetration at all time and time again.
