Re: What is wrong with ESPN??

James Brown had a nice little radio commentary in which he got on his fellow media members a little bit and urged them to knock off the crap about Sean's past...he correctly pointed out that most of the media didn't really know him well enough to pass judgement on him anyway and those that did know him said he was cleaning himself up.

Re: What is wrong with ESPN??

CNN did a story on Taylor and inadvertently put up a picture of Hugo Chavez instead of Taylor (but since it wasn't ESPN, I suppose it's ok...yeah I'm still bitter)

SS I didn't see it, but no its not right. I did see ESPN's tribute and it was wrong. They are by far not the only ones, and there are even plenty of local media outlets taking that same "that's what you get" undertone to their reporting. They all sicken me, but ESPN is the largest relevant platform and they botched it.

I really don't feel like arguing about it, and I understand your position working for them and everything... I was just hurt and disappointed. I was told I was going to watch a tribute to his life and it was a bunch of blatant finger pointing.

I didn't see it as finger pointing just a look at his entire life, both good and bad...what made him human and mortal. But you're right we're probably not ever going to agree on it.

Re: What is wrong with ESPN??

I hate the fact that EVERY article printed about Sean, has to end with sidenotes about his "troubled past"... well that's just it.. it was his PAST. Focus on who he has been for the past year or so if you're gonna focus on his past personal life... it just seems disrespectful.
