Unless you have a different version of Madden than I do, you can't. Try to call 2 consecutive timeouts. Amazingly, I didn't know of the rule until I played Madden. Whats the penalty for it on madden? Or in the rule book?

There is no penalty in Madden. I think it was added a few years ago by the competition committee in response to complaints about trying to ice the kicker "too much." Sorry, I don't have a link.

Look, it is obviously a rule and I have known for a few years that you can't call 2 timeouts on one play. I don't really know where I stand on the rule, I do see the pros and cons. Either way though the refs made the right call and I don't know who took the timeout but they made a boneheaded move. End of story.

It's a new rule. Only been in effect for two years. To be clear, it was always illegal but up until two years all that would happen is the referee would say is no...and then the kicking team would line up for the field goal/extra point. It only recently became "unsportsmanlike conduct" for trying to ice the kicker like that.
