I kept crying throughout the video and the friend (female) I was with, just kept pesturing me - are you okay? I was like, will you just let me cry already?

What is it with people wanting to comfort during an emotional time. Sometimes it's appropriate and then other times just leave people alone and let them get it out. Why don't people get that?
