Wow, I really wanted to keep Wilbon out of this thread but after listening to the Mayor, how could you? All I can say good for him for calling out the knuckleheads who rushed to judgement.

Very fitting and classy act. I also liked how he acknowledged the Redskins and the entire room stood.

In a nutshell, he said he wasn't surprised about what happened to Taylor. Said it wasn't the first time and won't be the last. This was the day before he passed. He has sinced tried to back pedal some, but hasn't apologized.

Believe me when I say I'm done with Mike Wibon.

In short, Wilbon said he wasn't surprised that Taylor was shot because of his past. He later said that maybe Taylor had changed but that didn't mean the people around him had.

Lets not forget Tony Cornhole was in total agreement and even said it with more conviction. There was a 'behind the scenes' type video of tony & wilbon and the wash. post editor, I think, she was something like that, anyway it was a little 4-5 minute conversation about what their thoughts were about the whole thing. Really pissed me off, but I cant find it anywhere now, imagine that. If I find it Ill let yall know.

Re: Live Feed For Sean's Funeral

Does anyone if there is or will be a place where I can watch the funeral services? Not to be morbid, but I was at work and didn't know it was going to be televised until after I left the house so I didn't TiVo. I heard there were some very moving speeches given, and the only one's I saw were LaVar and Coach Gibbs.

By the way I was just watching the live moment of silence in the MNF game, and they showed Ray Lewis tearing up. Yet another powerful moment in memory of Sean.

Re: Live Feed For Sean's Funeral

Is there anywhere to view it for those of us that couldn't watch live?

Re: Live Feed For Sean's Funeral

I wasn't going to watch this, but I thought the pastor wrapped it up beautifully. I really liked hearing his uncle and Coach Shannon.

In other news, Michael Wilbon was released from The George Washington University Hospital after doctor's successfully removed his head from his ass. Doctors did not remove his foot from his mouth, as they expect that to be expelled naturally over time.

Re: Live Feed For Sean's Funeral

I actually woke up late and missed class and most of the funeral but the part I did see choked me up pretty bad, was when Jackie Garcia's sister got up there and spoke on her behalf.

Just from what her sister was saying, I can tell Jackie and Sean had an unbreakable bond; the type that everyone goes through life hoping they find and I'm glad they both found each other and got to spend the little time that they had together to make a beautiful child to carry on his spirit and name. She was right on when she said, God always takes the good ones too soon.
