I'm pretty sure the "cool whip thing" is the same thing. We always called them "whip its". I thought it was NO2, but I'm not sure. Maybe cool whip is NO2, and Dust Off is R2. Anyways, I have heard of this before, and I've done it also. It's definitely not something I'm proud of, but I'm also not ashamed. I've done a lot of other risky stuff as well (though mostly risky legal stuff).

It's a shame, but there will always be things like this. You can't simply "remove it from the store shelves". Gasoline can be huffed, and I had friends who did it. What can be done about that? You can't take it off the market, and you can't prevent someone from inhaling it.

I think children need to learn, "make smart choices" and not, "don't do drugs." I think the message is inaccurate. After all, "what is a drug?" Are pharmaceuticals drugs? Is Dust Off a drug? I say, "who cares?" The focus should be on making rational decisions and being critical or your surroundings, and those you associate with.
