Should Ramsey Start Against Chicago?

The #1 problem is the O-line. The main reason for this is the loss of Jansen, especially since Brunell is a lefty. His blind-side protection is practically non-existant, hence 3 sack/fumbles taken in for TD's. So with Ramsey in there, at least we'd have our pro-bowl tackle Samuels protecting him (yeah, he hasn't been playing at a pro-bowl level the past couple years, but he's still a hell of a lot better than Jones or Brown). Plus, we've had to give them more help from TE's and backs, which we wouldn't have to do quite as much on the other side with Samuels.
Also, as others have said, Ramsey can put the ball down the field. I wouldn't mind a couple INT's deep in their side of the field rather than fumbles in ours. Another thing with Ramsey is that with his strong arm, even for short passes, he can get the ball there much quicker. I don't know how many times I've seen a receiver open, but by the time the ball gets to him, the defensive player has recovered and is right there to make the stop or knock the ball away. Ramsey's quick bullets would help this, at least some of the time.
Another thing others have pointed out is that the running game has sucked, and the downfield threat from Ramsey would help this. Absolutely! This is another thing on the O-line too though. I expected Gibbs to change it up a little more and not have Portis run between the tackles quite as much, but it doesn't look like he has. I also thought they would have studied what Denver did last year, and would "steal" a couple running plays from them for CP to feel more comfortable with, but it doesn't look like they have done this either.
All in all, I think Gibbs will adjust, but right now they just need some kind of spark, and the easiest "quick-fix" to attempt is to put Ramsey in. A thought: Back in '81, Gibbs tried to use his version of "Air Coryell" and failed, so they went to the one-back power running game and started winning. Whereas now, with the personnel we have, the power running game isn't really working, so what about switching to a more downfield approach like the Rams and Chiefs. Just a thought...
On a positive note, I was happy to see them mixing it up by putting Jacobs in there some....although I'd like to see McCants in there too.
