Re: the first question, La Canfora had "league and team sources" cited in his blog, saying they were very interested in Cowher. Could have been wrong, but JLC doesn't get his scoop from Pro Football Weekly. He's got connections. Again, they could have been wrong.

The assistant head coach title thing would irk the Titans. They'd say it's basically the same position and raise a stink over the Skins using a straw man title to skirt the rules on asking for permission to interview. I think if he was coming to interview for Assistant Head Coach - Defense, you'd hear some squawking out of Tennessee.
