Well when looking for a coach you look for a long term guy so we need to look at all posable HC. I think people here just want to know who our next head coach is and are not thinking long term and yes that could be GW but what is the harm in taking a few extra days. Look how long the other teams are taking to find a HC.

He was hand picked by Gibbs, performed excellently in my opinion. Without our Defensive play our teams wouldn't have been in any playoffs in four years and they would be bashing Gibbs even harder. The Offensive side of our team has been holding us back for years!

Williams is the stud of our Organization right now he's at the top and needs to be treated that way.

Forget about hiring anyone else, making him wait this long and giving him four long interveiws is already borerline ridiculous!!

My point once again you do not know what has gone on in those interviews or why they needed 4 interviews so we don't know if it was ridiculous or not. Yes he has done a good job with the D but its a whole nother story when it comes to running the entire team. Patients my son patients. Snyder was smart enough to lure Gibbs out of retirement so we have to believe he is smart enough to hire the best coach for the team again.

If he hires GW he's smart. If he hires Mora, he's an idiot and he's learned nothing from Joe Gibbs.

Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

Don't you think that keeping Joe on as a "consultant" or whatever they said during the press conference, really just means that he's being retained to provide input during the interview process?

I wonder if old sly dog Joe was able to keep his 5mil salary for 08' by staying on as "CONSULTANT"?!?

I heard in an interview on the Riggin's show with JLC. He said that Snyder, Joe-no, and some of the other fellas's had numerous in depth sessions preparing the candidate list to best fit the Skins needs. I am totally confident this will come out the way it is supposed to.
In Gibb's, I still trust

Or he feels that his "ownership interest" obligates him to see this interview process through.

I don't have links. I go by what I see on the local news here when the players are interviewed. Plus, I'm sure almost EVERYONE on this board knows that most of the players have endorsed GW.

Why do you find it so hard to believe?

I heard the same thing. Noone knows what's going on inside Redskins Park, but what we all can see EVERYONE wants Williams.

Thats my point what players? I have only heard of a few that have come out and supported GW. I'm not saying that they want another head coach I'm just stating that I have not heard of this larg number of players coming out and saying that they support him. I have read a bunch of post here where people say that all the players want GW but no one can give any links to who all these players are. I think its more of a rumor here that he has all these players supporting him. I do not find it hard to believe but I just have not seen it. Like I said they are at home and not at Redskin part so not hearing from them is pretty much a given.

Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

Check out JLC's Redskins Insider blog (Redskins Insider). Don't quote me, but I don't think there is a single player he's talked to since Gibbs' retirement that hasn't endorsed GW.

Read any article from Redskins.com or any of LaCanfora's blogs on the Washington Post...every player interviewed, whether he was asked or not, supported GW...I'm not going to post all of their quotes...but its pretty clear they want him as coach
