When Gibbs & Bethard disagreed,they would make their cases to JKC who would make the final decision (he was stroking the checks).

For the last 4 years Gibbs effectively had complete control, Danny wasn't going to second guess Gibbs, he idolizes him. If GW is/was demanding the same control as Gibbs then I agree with Snyder not giving him COMPLETE control. That doesn't mean Cerrato has complete control, it means decisions are made with input from multiple people and Snyder has the final say (he is stroking the checks). I'm not a big Cerrato fan, but he has had some success in the past and he's not the only guy in the Personel Department.

Bottom line is that we may not like the face value of where the HC search appears to be going, but we don't know all the factors behind the scenes. Who knows, if Fassel is the HC, Zorn the OC and Ryan/Schwartz the DC that doesn't seem to be a bad staff. The only major drawback would be compensation for the DC.[/QUOTE]
