If that ever came out, I would lose a lot of respect for Gibbs. Williams was arguably the team's best coach during Gibbs 2.0. If not for his defense keeping the team in most every game, the last 4 years would have been an utter failure.

Man, I never thought of it that way. What would Gibbs 2.0 have looked like with anyone but Gregg Williams running the D?

I understand what you are saying here but there are many coaches that have been great coordinators that could not get it done as a head coach. If Gibbs felt this way about Williams then that could have possibly swayed the final decision here.
