Yuck. I wouldn't have liked that at all. But that seems to be the M.O. for defensive head coaches -- kinda like Herm Edwards -- ever notice how offenses turn into complete sh!t wherever he goes?

If that's how Williams would have operated an offense, then perhaps the right decision was made. Who knows, maybe Williams' offensive philosophy is what turned Sndyer and Cerrato off? I liked his fiery personality. That and the seemingly overwhelming player sentiment that he should have been retained is why I think most fans wanted him to stay.

With Blache, it looks like most of what Williams preached defensively will remain. For the most part, that's a good thing.
