Yes I use them with my ipod.

I doubt people around you will would hear your music only because with these things so deep in your ear, you don't need very much volume.

And with how well they shut out all outside noise, again you don't need to crank the volume very much at all.

Matty, I've had these etymotic's ever since I've had an ipod... the isolators are the only way to go if you're not using professional headphones. One of my ear buds went out today though, so I've got to replace the filter.

I've always wanted to try them but I couldn't convince myself they were worth the money. I finally gave in and now I regret not getting them sooner.

They really are amazing. It's crazy how you can hear singers taking a breath, fingers sliding on the guitar, and just so many other subtle sounds that you don't normally hear.
