you don't need tivo, you just need a $20-50 TV capture card, the cable from the wall plugs straight into the computer and you can use your monitor like a TV and/or record it directly to your hard drive (and if you want, recompress it with divx for much smaller file sizes)...
a USB TV card would work as well. |
