Re: BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Sources Confirm Jim Zorn Named Head Coach
How the hell are you going to fire Greg Williams and hire Zorn? It makes no damn sense. How the hell do you explain that to the team and the fans? The players must be laughing. Snyder just hired the guy cause he feels most comfortable with Zorn. IMO he certainly didn't hire the best person for the job.

This is Zorn's debut as head coach so it is safe to say that nobody knows if he is the right person for the job except Snyder. I do not like Snyder at all but he is the head of a team that I live and breathe. I trust this hire and if he takes us to a superbowl then I will have followed him all the way from the begining. If he fails.... well.... 1992 was a looooong time ago and its safe to say we are all used to a little defeat. Stay strong Skins fans and trust your team. Its gonna be okay. Hail to the Burgandy and Gold!!!!

That's the concern. We're talking about an owner who wants to win now because he too often still thinks like the fans who want to win now.

Not really. All owners and fans want to win now, why are we any different and we have the talent to do so. We just came off a playoff season with a large amount of injuries, with some luck on the injury front next season, a solid draft we have all the tools to win now. Getting this coaching staff assembled is a key factor, and of course on the same page. We have maintained most of our other vital coaching staff, Buges, Blache, Smith, Gray, Byner, etc. And Zorn signed a 5 year deal, so to me that at least shows they are willing to commit to the guy for the future. I like our chances with Zorn.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Sources Confirm Jim Zorn Named Head Coach
Please name me any team that is good for on the job training. Every team has a fanbase and it is safe to say no team's fans want that situation. Its okay not to trust DS and VC but what choice do we have? He saw something in Zorn that he didnt see in Fassel.

Falcons, Saints, Cardinals, Texans, Lions. Basically any team that is not only use to loosing in recent years but also one that doesn't have a history of winning a Super Bowl. Of course the teams I mention also function as career killers, but at least the fans will be a lot eaiser on you.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Sources Confirm Jim Zorn Named Head Coach
I think there are plenty of teams and owners that have more patience than the Redskins and their fans

I really hope Springs sticks around now. He's saying good things about Zorn and could be a great advocate with the players.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Sources Confirm Jim Zorn Named Head Coach
Maybe they will bring over Marcus Trufant and him and Springs can be advocates together
