They're always accusing us of stealing from the poor, beating up gays, dragging blacks down the highway behind our pickup trucks while we sing aloing to Toby Keith. The whole thrust of Democratic politics is to portray themselves as forces of light, fighting against the evil forces of Republican darkness. So I feel I'm perfectly entitled to hold the same opinion in reverse.
That's a pretty narrow way of handling it. That's like saying if someone killed my dog, I should be able to kill theirs in return. Kinda not the best way of looking at things. I believe Republicans are fine people so long as their main intent isn't on putting people down/getting rid of them (Gays, Blacks, etc) Democrats aren't free of blame either. But come on, its politics. Everyone lies, cheats and steals from everyone else. One of the reason things are so screwed up is because nobody wants to reach over the damn political lines and try to work together. This whole, you act like this towards me, so I'm gonna act like this towards you is part of the reason why the world is so ****ed up now. Is it that hard to just be civil towards one another? Nobody said you ever had to like them, just respect them so long as they respect you and if they don't you leave it alone. Not drag it through the mud.
