I use AVG, realplayer alternative, thunderbird, firefox, open office (some), messed around with GIMP (although I do like photoshop better,) VLC player, 7-zip, and others.
As far operating systems, I love Fedora Linux. Once you figure out how to install programs in Linux, you can just about find any add-on or plugin-in to do what you do in Windows. Of course, I am saying "almost". I think Microsoft continues to shoot themselves in the foot by bloating all of their software to the point to where you have to upgrade all of your hardware just so it will run.
