Jason La Canfora, of the Washington Post, reports the Washington Redskins have restructured OT Chris Samuels' contract. Combined with OT Jon Jansen's restructured contract, the team has created $6.3 million in salary cap space, according to a source.

Jason La Canfora, of the Washington Post, reports Washington Redskins WR Brandon Lloyd has been released from the team. Lloyd was designated a June 1 cut for salary cap purposes, according to executive vice president Vinny Cerrato. Lloyd's salary cap figure of $4.2 million will drop to $1.8 million June 1. He will count $5.5 million in dead cap space in 2009.
