Roy Cummings, of the Tampa Tribune, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free agent C Jeff Faine (Saints). Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is believed the contract will make Faine the highest paid center in the game.

Jim Flynn and Scott Reynolds, of PewterReport.com, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are attempting to sign free agent LB Niko Koutouvides (Seahawks). A visit has not been schooled but there are serious contract negotiations, according to sources.



making faine the highest paid center is stupid. bucs really are going sign 8-10 mid to big names it seems like. they're getting good players too, but it looks like they might be overpaying (bad value). they'll be better next year (after the dust settles from all the new guys).
