PFT is reporting that the Redskins pursued Briggs and offered him roughly the same deal the Bears did. The Bears definitely got Briggs at a good price; I would've thought he would have gotten a deal averaging $8 million per year with a signing bonus north of $16M. The deals being handed out are simply nuts.

If true, I'm impressed with the Redskins for allowing the market to set the price, and making the player choose instead of overpaying.
