I've liked Hackett for a while now but it appears that he might cost a bit much. I think the Skins are doing the right thing by waiting and if the Titans or some other team wants to give him a fat contract, then fine, they should pass on him and pick up a wideout in the draft. If the Skins do draft a wideout then I would prefer they wait until the 3rd or 4th round as recent history seems to indicate that you can find some very good ones in these latter rounds.
I'd take a flyer on Tab Perry of the Bengals as well. He's been hurt the past two years but is a good special teams player, both in coverage and kickoff returns. He would come cheap as well since the Bengals just cut him to avoid paying him like a $1 million tender. |
