Seriously, Snyder gave Portis his 2009 base salary money a year early as part of this extension in order to allow that amount to allocate over 2008, 2009, and beyond, clearing some of that hit off the books now.

I'm not positive they gave it all to him a year early, some of it might be a guaranteed payment in 2009.

I updated my sheets under the assumption that they gave it all to him now. I'll double check when PC releases his numbers.
