Remember Clifford Russell? Everyone was high on him and he never did a thing in the NFL. Espy will likely follow the same path.
except Espy did come through in the preseason, something that was joked about earlier. I don't even think Russell ever got healthy in camp long enough to play in the preseason.

Can't remember, but I guess that's your point, no one will remember these guys in a few years.

Re: Redskins Release Espy and Harris

Come on Espy? Like he was going to make an impact with us anyway!!! We need big, tall, and quick WRs that can actually produce. Always amazes me how many guys get pissed about some eternal special teams/bench scrub with maybe a little potential gets canned when we need guys that can start for sure. We needed to clean house at WR and that is exactly what the Skins are doing. With the exception of Santana, Michael Westbrook and Albert Connell look like all HOFers compared to the bums we have had the past few years. Patten, Llyod, Randle El til last year, and that bum we drafted out of Miami(what's his name?) all sucked rocks. Espy and Harris were emergency scrubs at best.

He never really had a chance to make an impact. Espy's young, I think if he can continue to rehab that knee, he'll have a decent career somewhere else.

The fourth quarter of the preseason games won't be the same again without Espy.

Dont worry...Mix is the new Espy.
Folks seem to love a potential Cinderella story.

Re: Redskins Release Espy and Harris

i have to agree with what some have been saying (in this thread and others).... SOMETHING is afoot. i can feel it! danny's getting better at avoiding the temptation to be the offseason champ but can he REALLY quit cold turkey???

we know the team is after an impact receiver. there are none in the draft considered to be "can't miss". there are none (none left, anyway) in free angency. a rookie would likely not be much help to us this year......

please be anquan boldin, please be anquan boldin....

I doubt it. Anquan wants to stay in Arizona. They got Fitzgerald's deal done so that they could redo Anquan's (ensuring that he is still the highest paid WR on the roster).
