I think a lot of the younger fans suffer from "Maddenitis", meaning that they think trades that they make on Madden can carry over into real life.

I'm siding with those who said we simply have lower barriers to entry these days. I think there have always been a lot of idiots, but we just haven't known about them, because they weren't able to be vocal. Gotta love the interweb.

I see the biggest problem as follows, which is affecting Redskins fans and all fans of teams.......at the sports bar I go to, people are more concerned with winning their bets or how thier fantasy team is doing. Fantasy team owners have jerseys of some of their fantasy team players that are on NFL teams - what a joke. I have been a skins fan since 82, and hell would freeze over before I ever wore a jersey of another team. As far as people who gamble on games, they are only concerned with if they won their bet or not. Where has the passion for the TEAM gone?
