What Has Happened to the Redskins' Fan Base?

So what were you trying to say then in your original post?

Just that a lot of Redskins fans want to do the wave in the fourth quarter of a close game when our offense is on the field, and don't seem to understand some of the basic rules and game-management issues that occur during a game. Again, I'm not saying that I'm an NFL encyclopedia. These are just observations I've made and, to me, they run counter the reputation of being "knowledgeable" fans.

Is this thread then more about "stadium etiquette"?

It's like the people who say "We're so awful, we never keep our own players!!!" and then you point out guys like Betts, Sellers, Rock, Cooley, etc and they say "Yeah, well, let's see if they do it again this year and the next."

We've all made mistakes, been proven wrong, and corrected on more than one occassion. And the site is better because of it. But admitting fault seems to be a real problem for a lot of people. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times the whole point of a message board isn't really to let the world know how much knowledge you have but to get more knowledge out of it than when you first joined. There's nothing wrong with being wrong, it happens to all of us. It's why I started the whole "I Was Wrong When..." thread, so people wouldn't be so afraid to admit when they're wrong.

I later admitted that I got the dates wrong.

It's a combination of that and just observations I've made.
