The Giants denied the last team to try and they will deny the Skins.

I went to opening day last year but I guess I wont go this year, seeing as how its in NY. I need some football. Not want.

I NEED IT. So long to wait but the draft will hold me over for a bit I guess.....

Man....I sort of hate the fact that we have to open our season up against not only a tough divisional foe, but one that is a defending Super Bowl Champion team. But, it should be an exciting game. Maybe this means that the 'skins season will get softer toward the end of the season when we make a strong run for the playoffs.

Don't look foreward to opening up against the SBC on the road. It will give us a good idea of where we are early.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to opening the season on the road for once. I dont think we did since San Diego in 2001 (lord knows that didnt go well)...but I think we will be playing a real tough game, and this should be a good test for us, and like longtime just said, this hsould let us know where we are at pretty quickly.

Tivo the damn thing then.
By the way...the last 2 times the Giants won the Superbowl ('86 & '90), who won the year after? 3's a charm.

From AP:
"The Super Bowl winner traditionally hosts the game. The Redskins’ participation was confirmed by a person familiar with the NFL schedule who spoke on condition of anonymity because the league has not announced it."

I must have slept through our 2002 Super Bowl Championship. Jokes aside, I think I like playing the "champs" in this situation. Lots of hype around the heroes, they sometimes lose sight of the game. That and our history in such games ('83, '88, '92) is just horrible.

How can you even think about predicting the outcome of a game right now? This just kills me...we have the complete offseason, injuries and all kinds of other stuff to get through before we even think about Sept 4th and whether or not they would win or not.

Making any predictions right now is definitely ri-goddamn-diculous.

I think it will be something like 31-24, Skins win.

Campbell will throw for 229 yards 2 tds, (but 2 picks as well)
Portis will just miss the 100 yard rushing mark with 98 yards rushing, but will catch a td, while Betts gets a TD in a goal-line situation. Andre Carter will bat down a pass, have it bounce off of a NY O-lineman's shoulder pad, while Philip Daniels catches it in mid-air running 45 yards for a score off of the fumble.

Oh, and the weather will hot and steamy -- mostly clear, with winds out of the SSE at 10-15 mph.

'Skins at Giants for the season opener.
Darn, first regular season game of 2008 and I am left with no one to root for.
